Energy Storage Power Station Fire Protection System Solution

Energy Storage Power Station Fire Protection System Solution

I. Overall Fire Protection System Design

1. System Composition

The system consists of pre-engineered, non-pressurized FK-5-1-12 (perfluorohexanone) fire suppression units, thermal aerosol fire suppression devices, audible and visual alarms, dual-function composite detectors, and a centralized data controller.

2. Equipment Deployment

(1) Battery Compartment

  • One BSP1000 composite detector installed at the top

  • One QRR0.15G/S-CFLC thermal aerosol fire suppression device installed at the top

(2) Electrical Compartment

  • One BSP1000 composite detector installed at the top

  • One YF0.5Q-CFLC FK-5-1-12 fire suppression device installed at the top

(3) PACK Compartment

  • One QRR0.144G/S-CFLC pulsed thermal aerosol fire suppression device installed in each PACK compartment

3. Energy Storage Cabinet

  • One CNS89 audible and visual alarm installed

(1) Interlocking Logic and Detector Responsibilities

  • BSP1000-2 Detector No. 1 is dedicated to monitoring the electrical compartment.

  • BSP1000-2 Detector No. 2 is dedicated to monitoring the battery compartment.

  • Both detectors communicate continuously with the centralized data controller.

The data controller uploads real-time operational data to the BMS, including detector alarm status.

  • When the BSP1000 in the electrical compartment reaches a Level 2 alarm, the audible and visual alarm is activated; when it reaches a Level 3 alarm, the YF0.5Q-CFLC FK-5-1-12 fire suppression device is activated.

  • When the BSP1000 in the battery compartment reaches a Level 2 alarm, the audible and visual alarm is activated; when it reaches a Level 3 alarm, the QRR0.15G/S-CFLC thermal aerosol fire suppression device is activated.

Each PACK module may be equipped with a QRR0.144G/S-CFLC device, which uses temperature-sensing automatic activation. When the temperature reaches 170 °C ±10 °C, the device activates automatically. After activation, the feedback component reports the activation status.
